9. Tipping

Tipping for good service is an accepted fact in Peru.

 

Amounts are obviously discretionary, but as a rough guide say US$10 - $20pp per day for guides and US$4-5 for drivers would be fine.

 

For Hotel Staff (bell boys etc.) $1-$2 would be fine.  10% on restaurant bills would be more than acceptable.

 

All Luxury Peru Travel staff are well paid and do not rely on tips to make a living.  However, as anywhere, tips for good service are always appreciated.
