Classic Inca Trail - Day 1



Cusco - KM 82 - Wayllabamba (Easy) (B,L,D)
We will collect you from your Cusco hotel early in the morning around 6:30 (approx. 8:30 if your hotel is in the Sacred Valley) for the private transport to the Inca Trail entrance.
We will stop in Ollantaytambo for last minute Purchases, plus an Opportunity for breakfast if you wish (Breakfast is also provided in your Hotel prior to departure).
We will continue to Pisqacucho (Also known as Kilometer 82) where the trail begins, arriving at approximately 10:30 to Kilometer 82.
It is NECESSARY to show entrance tickets and original passports at the at the entrance checkpoint. We then cross the Urubamba River and begin our trek through dry forest area. We’ll walk approximately 6 km to Llactapata, the first Archaeological Site on our journey, where we’ll rest and have lunch. After lunch, we continue on a gradual, 4 kilometer, uphill walk through farmland to our campsite – Wayllabamba.
Total walking distance for the day is 11km or 7.2 miles with a minimum altitude of 2,700mts (8,990 feet) and reaching a maximum of 3,100mts (10,000 feet).
