We will rise very early today in order to arrive at the Sun Gate 2,730mts (8,792ft).

 

Before sunrise, we begin a short hike to the Sun Gate where we have our first view of the mysterious and enigmatic Machu Picchu as the sun rises.

 

Sometime after enjoying the view, we will walk down the last part of the trail to the spot where you can take the classic photo of this ancient city.

 

Finally we visit Machu Picchu itself.  A walking tour (2-3 hours) is given by our guide and then you are free to explore the Lost City on your own.

 

If you still have enough energy, you can climb Huayna Picchu (2,720m/8,923ft). It Takes about 45 minutes to reach the top. (Requires a separate ticket which needs to be purchased in advance by us) You then return to Cusco on board the Train.
