This more affordable version of the 7 Day Route of the Inca Machu Picchu Vacation Itinerary skips through Lima and gets immediately to the Inca & Colonial highlights in and around Cusco Machu Picchu.  

 

Visit the highlights of Cusco & the Sacred Valley of the Inca.  Visit Machu Picchu one of the Seven Wonders of the World for one or two days.  Take the First Class Tourist Bus to Lake Titicaca and visit the Uro people who live on floating reed islands in the middle of the Lake.

  

Enhancements

This itinerary has been put together to see as much as possible in the shortest possible time.  Enhancements would include adding a day in Lima whilst staying at the 3* Second Home Peru Hotel Lima.  For those interested in archaeology and Pre-Inca Civilizations adding a visit to Caral the oldest City in the Americas (both North & South America @ 3,000 years BC) which can be visited in a day from Lima, should also be seriously considered.  Please Contact Us for more details and a personalized Itinerary.

 

The trip by First Class Tourist Bus between Cusco & Puno (Lake Titicaca) is some 9 hours long although this trip is broken up by visits to several places of interest on route.

Other options include a one hour flight or the Luxury Orient Express Andean Explorer Train, which is fabulous, but does add some $200pp to the vacation.  The price of the Luxury Train varies by season, please ask for details for your dates of travel.

 

 

Day 1 - Arrive Lima - Most flights arrive between 22:00 & Midnight so it is best to just stay at the airport Hotel for early flights to Cusco tomorrow.  If your flights arrive at a different time please contact us for a Hotel in Lima
