An Eight or Nine day First Class Machu Picchu Vacation which includes a tour of the Ancient Northern Kingdoms of Peru designed especially for those interested in Pre-Inca history in addition to a Machu Picchu Vacation.  

 

Visit Machu Picchu for one or two days after private tours of the Tombs of Sipan, the Colonial city of Trujillo, the Moche Pyramids, and Chan Chan.  We will also explore the Colonial & Inca highlights throughout Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Inca and visit typical markets which are excellent places to shop for traditional hand-made souvenirs.  We round off the Vacation with a one or two day visit to one of the Seven Wondors of the World,  Machu Picchu.  

 

 

 

Enhancements to consider:

 

This itinerary has been put together to see as much as possible in the shortest possible time.  Enhancements would include adding a day in Lima whilst staying at the 4* Casa Andina Private Collection Hotel Lima.  For those interested in archaeology and Pre-Inca Civilizations adding a visit to Caral the oldest City in the Americas (both North & South America @ 3,000 years BC) which can be visited in a day from Lima, should also be seriousy considered.  There is also a goodly amount of traveling in this Itinerary so adding a free day in Cusco may also be a good idea to break things up a bit. Day 1 - Most flights arrive to Lima Airport between 22:00 and Midnight. In this case there is little purpose in a one hour transfer to a Hotel in Lima just to turn around at 07:00 the following morning and return to Lima Airport. Better to stay at the Lima Airport Hotel and get a good nights sleep before your 10:00 flights tomorrow.

Day 2 - Fly Chiclayo (90 minutes) - Visit the Pre Inca Moche Peruvian Pyramids & fabulous treasures found therein known as the Lord of Sipan

Day 4 - Chan Chan the largest Adobe City in the World, once home to an estimated 50,000 people of the Chimu civilization.  Fly Lima (90 minutes)

Day 5 - In the morning a 90 minute flight to Cusco and Private Transfer to your Hotel.  In the afternoon a Private Tour of the Inca & Colonial highlights of the Imperial City of Cusco.
